Every year in October, the small town of Thornton in
northern California holds a festival honoring of our Lady of Fatima. Thousands
of people from various parts of the state and U.S. join the local Portuguese
community to pray, sing, dance, and enjoy delicious food.
While close to the capital, I was able to visit Sacramento
for the first time. My visit was brief and left wanting to discover more. I
